Andrew Bredenkamp

As a successful tech founder with over 10 years experience in Africa I am excited by the opportunity on the continent. I am an active investor both directly and as an LP in funds, and have a number of advisory and mentorship roles – both informal and more structured.
I am interested in giving back with the benefit of my experience as a CEO and startup leader. It’s often very lonely as a CEO, and having an independent person to talk to can be invaluable.
I am especially interested in refining the product market fit, validation the business model, getting the story right (both for the market and for investors), as well as preparing for growth as the project takes off.

I am keen to be useful to the emerging generation of founders in Africa – firstly because I think the opportunity is very exciting with huge potential. Secondly I see entrepreneurship as a powerful force for social impact (if done right).
All of this makes it feel like a good use of my time.
