Mentorship motivation

  • I am looking for new investments
  • I like to learn about industries and new businesses
  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up
  • I want to make new connections for myself and/or the organization I represent
  • I want to scout for new opportunities in engaging as an advisor or for a board seat

In the ecosystem where i come from (Edo State, Nigeria), we have had challenges with the quality of startups with respect to the quality of ideas, finding models that can work and scale and most often finding product market fit. Working with these startups showed me the challenges and taught me the ways and strategies to help these founders refine their ideas, get started, gain access to funding and better themselves in the process because ultimately the thought processes of these founders get to determine their perception of what a problem is and the many approaches to solving it.
