About

Hello,

My name is Brice tchendo. I am interested in mentoring because I believe entrepreneurship is one of the strongest drivers of sustainable economic transformation in West Africa. With over 15 years of experience in finance, consulting, and venture support, and as founder of DAGBA, I have worked closely with SMEs and startups to help them structure their businesses, strengthen financial management, and access funding. Mentoring allows me to transfer practical experience, discipline, and strategic thinking to the next generation of founders.

My focus areas in Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, and Togo include business structuring and governance, financial literacy, investment readiness, and scalable growth strategies. I am particularly committed to helping entrepreneurs transition from informal operations to structured, investor-ready companies capable of expanding regionally. Beyond technical guidance, I aim to strengthen leadership mindset, resilience, and long-term vision to build competitive regional champions.

Mentorship motivation

  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up
  • I want to scout for new opportunities in engaging as an advisor or for a board seat

I want to give back to the startup ecosystem because I understand how difficult the entrepreneurial journey can be without guidance, structure, and access to the right networks. Throughout my career in finance, consulting, and venture development, and through my work with DAGBA, I have seen talented founders struggle not because of a lack of ideas, but because of limited mentorship, weak financial structuring, and insufficient strategic support.

I was fortunate to gain international exposure, strong academic training, and hands-on experience that helped me navigate complex business environments. Giving back is my way of reducing the learning curve for emerging entrepreneurs. If I can help a founder avoid costly mistakes, think more strategically, structure their company properly, or access the right funding partner, I contribute directly to stronger and more sustainable businesses.

Beyond individual success stories, I am motivated by ecosystem impact. Strong startups create jobs, inspire innovation, and shift mindsets. By mentoring upcoming entrepreneurs, I help build a new generation of disciplined, resilient, and regionally competitive founders who can drive long-term economic transformation in West Africa.

For me, giving back is not just a responsibility it is a long-term investment in the future of our ecosystem.
