Daniel Kwaku Merki

I believe in the transformational power of entrepreneurship, particularly technology entrepreneurship; I am also passionate about personal growth and enabling others to obtain that personal growth. So mentoring, in many ways, combines my convictions and passions mentioned above and is an ideal way for me to learn more.

I founded an Accra-based venture builder and angel investment firm currently in its nascent stages with two portfolio companies. We intend to exit stealth mode by 2023 by providing startup-focused consulting services, making selected angel investments, and creating a venture-building program.

My core expertise is finance and capital raising. I started my career as an investment banker in Ghana, spending most of my investment banking days on corporate finance projects. Following my bachelor’s degree in finance, I pursued an MBA (entrepreneurship option) from EDHEC Business school in France before fully transitioning my focus to entrepreneurship support and venture building.

Aside from finance, I worked in numerous roles ranging from engineering to consulting and would be interested in providing strategic and managerial advice for early-stage ventures.

Particularly interested in working with ambitious entrepreneurs hellbent on solving a challenge with a scalable business model and a large potential market. I am sector agnostic but have a soft spot for platform and blockchain business models.

As I undertake angel investments and founded a venture builder (stealth mode). I want to learn more about venture support and also identify potential investments.
