Doreen Lukandwa

Hello my name is Doreen. With over 16 years of experience in the financial services sector in Africa, I am a seasoned Senior Executive with expertise in leading multimarket expansion, human-centered product design and promotion, channel and partnership development, public and private stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and last-mile delivery. My experience includes being part of the team that launched MTN Mobile Money(Ug) and scaled various other products and services. As a result, I have gained a deep understanding of the challenges, processes, and strategies related to launching and sustainably scaling sector-agnostic Digital Financial Services across emerging markets.
I am passionate about using innovative technology to empower MSMEs, and the underserved in Africa, creating a positive socioeconomic impact.
Based on my experience, I would like to be a mentor to support those who need it, on their journey.

I am interested in mentoring because it gives me an opportunity to leverage the experiences and lessons from my journey ,for the benefit others. Thereby supporting them on their journey. I have been benefited from mentorship and would like to extend the same to others. In my dream to impact the world, mentorship presents an opportunity to break barriers created by geography, culture, race, gender or others.
