I am interested in mentoring because I believe entrepreneurship is a powerful driver of economic growth, job creation, and social development. Throughout my career as a Lecturer in Management at Bahir Dar University, a Business Development Consultant, and a Local Trainer for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), I have had the opportunity to support students, aspiring entrepreneurs, and business owners in developing their skills, overcoming challenges, and achieving their goals. These experiences have shown me the transformative impact that guidance and mentorship can have on individuals and businesses. My passion lies in helping entrepreneurs turn innovative ideas into sustainable and impactful ventures. I enjoy sharing knowledge, encouraging critical thinking, and helping founders make informed decisions that contribute to long-term success. Mentoring also provides an opportunity for mutual learning, where I can contribute my expertise while gaining insights from the experiences of entrepreneurs operating in different sectors and contexts. My primary areas of interest and focus include entrepreneurship, business development, business planning, strategic management, leadership, and MSME growth. I am particularly interested in supporting early-stage startups and small businesses in refining their business models, developing growth strategies, improving operational performance, and strengthening their managerial capabilities. In addition, I am passionate about empowering women and youth entrepreneurs by helping them build confidence, acquire business skills, and access opportunities for sustainable growth. Through mentoring, I hope to contribute to the development of innovative and resilient businesses that create positive economic and social impact across Africa.
I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up because supporting the growth and development of others has been a central part of my professional career. As a Lecturer in Management at Bahir Dar University, I have guided students in their academic, research, and career development. In addition, my work as a Business Development Consultant and Local Trainer has allowed me to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in improving their business strategies, operational performance, and growth potential. These experiences have shown me the importance of mentorship in helping individuals overcome challenges and achieve their goals. By becoming a mentor, I would like to share the knowledge, skills, and practical insights I have gained through teaching, consulting, and training, and contribute to the success of emerging entrepreneurs who are building innovative businesses and creating positive impact in their communities.
