About

I am a professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Accra, Ghana; most recently. I teach and research entrepreneurial opportunity discovery and exploitation (how people come up with new ideas and pursue them). Beyond that, I describe myself as a design-thinking evangelist and a business model enthusiast. I think there is the need to find unique ways of blending empathetic and intuitive sensemaking with analytics and metrics to capture user and consumer behaviour in order to create the most compelling products, services, processes & business models. So for entrepreneurship education, I take the approach of integrating design-thinking with lean startup methodology. This means I teach startups to capture the hidden needs of their customers and/or potential users and unearth the hidden value flows in their business models.
