About

More than 45 years of experience as consultant, programme director, researcher and policy maker. Worked on assignments globally for bilateral, multilateral and private organisations such as Netherlands Government, RVO, IFC, EU, IBD/BID, UN (ILO, UNIDO, UNDP), BIO, all Dutch Co-financing agencies, foundations such as Cordaid, ICCO, Oxfam Novib, Hivos or Woord en Daad.

Em. Professor on Financial Inclusion and New Entrepreneurship at The Hague University of Applied Science (former Chair of research group on Financial Inclusion and New Entrepreneurship since April 2012). Previously also visiting researcher in Diaspora Entrepreneurship at Stockholm University, Sweden.

He has hands-on business experience as founder/owner of private consultancy companies: Timpoc Consultants specialised in Inclusive Entrepreneurship and Financing, and earlier FACET BV consultants on Entrepreneurship and MSME financing. He also founded and lead the IntEnt and SEON Foundations both specialised in Business Creation, Financing and Entrepreneurship for migrant entrepreneurs.

He is presently Hon. Ambassador on Inclusive Entrepreneurship for OECD. He held various Board positions among other with European Microfinance Network (EMN Presidency), Netherlands Council for Microfinance, MISFA Ltd Afghanistan, Steering Committee on Inclusive Entrepreneurship (OECD) and Supervisory Board member of The Financial Cooperative.
