I have been creating businesses since my days as an undergrad student of chemical engineering at the University of Lagos. Having worked in managerial capacities in top multinational organisations for over 20years, I crystallised my managerial experience with an MBA, left paid employment to work for one of my ventures. Over the years, I saw the mistakes I have made in my various ventures and became passionate about sharing my learning to help small businesses and entrepreneurs like myself succeed in their ventures. My interests is mainly in helping businesses understand especially the basic financial modelling needed to understand the key element to focus on at the startup and the organisational structure needed to manage a venture to succeed. I am also keen in ensuring that businesses look at the regulatory environment and its potential impact on a venture. Technology based ventures with a bias for fintechs
Mentoring also provides me an opportunity to continually learn. I also derive personal satisfaction from seeing a business venture go from ideation to having a fit-for-market solution. My own venture can also benefit from collaborations that can be found in the ecosystem and mentoring provides that platform to network and stay abreast with developments in my areas of interest. I believe also I have a wealth of experience to share and help young entrepreneurs avoid common mistakes that I have made and learned from.
