I am interested in mentoring because I am at a critical transition point in my professional journey, where technical expertise must be complemented by experience, judgment, and strategic perspective.
I currently operate at the intersection of SME advisory, investment, and fundraising in Côte d’Ivoire, supporting high-potential SMEs through financial structuring, business planning, legal and operational advisory, and access to financing. Through my work in private equity–related activities, investment banking assignments, and DAF externalized services, I have developed strong analytical and execution capabilities. However, I recognize that closing fundraising transactions consistently, institutionalizing an advisory platform, and scaling impact-oriented investment initiatives require guidance from experienced practitioners.
My interest in mentoring is driven by the desire to learn from real-world experience, particularly in equity and quasi-equity fundraising, deal structuring, negotiation, due diligence management, and investor relations. I want to deepen my understanding of how successful advisors and investors build credibility, manage complex stakeholder dynamics, and move from preparation to successful deal closing.
My focus areas include:
Fundraising execution (debt, equity, and hybrid instruments)
Structuring scalable advisory and investment platforms
Governance, risk management, and institutional standards
SME growth strategies in emerging markets
Aligning commercial sustainability with measurable social and economic impact
Ultimately, mentoring would help me accelerate my learning curve, avoid common pitfalls, and strengthen my ability to build BAAKO BRIDGE CAPITAL into a credible, scalable platform that supports SME growth, job creation, and financial inclusion in Côte d’Ivoire and across West Africa.
I am motivated to mentor because I strongly believe in giving back to the startup and SME ecosystem, particularly in emerging markets such as Côte d’Ivoire and West Africa, where access to experience, guidance, and networks is often as critical as access to capital.
Through my work in SME advisory, private equity–related activities, and investment structuring, I have seen how early-stage and growing entrepreneurs struggle not only with financing, but also with strategy, governance, financial discipline, and decision-making. Mentoring allows me to share practical insights, lessons learned, and structured thinking to help entrepreneurs avoid common pitfalls and accelerate their growth journey.
Mentorship is also a powerful way for me to continue learning. I am genuinely interested in discovering new industries, innovative business models, and emerging entrepreneurs, as this exposure strengthens my understanding of markets and sharpens my investment judgment.
Additionally, mentoring enables me to identify high-potential investment opportunities and to scout companies where I can add value beyond capital—whether as an advisor, strategic partner, or board member. I see mentoring as a mutually beneficial relationship, where entrepreneurs gain guidance and perspective, while I gain deeper insight into businesses, teams, and execution capabilities.
Finally, mentoring allows me to build meaningful connections—both personally and professionally—with entrepreneurs, fellow mentors, investors, and ecosystem partners, strengthening my network and that of the organization I represent.
