In the last 5+ years, I’ve worked for several tech startups and my roles so far have allowed me manage PR & communications for a civic tech hub, manage programs and events for a digital media company with a community of ~500,000 for young African women in three major African markets – Nigeria, South Africa & Ghana. Recently, I worked on an accelerator program for scale stage ventures, and managed influencer marketing strategies to propel growth at a fintech startup.
Beyond developing a generalist skillset, my experience with startups in Africa has also allowed me to develop empathy for the entrepreneurial journey and mentoring provides an opportunity for me to share my skills and experiences with the founders who need them. My focus areas are marketing/communications and sales.
I believe young Africans are the key to the continent’s development and I want to contribute to this growth in any way I can.
