I have been mentoring entrepreneurs in Egypt since 2010 and I’ve always found great satisfaction in watching startups grow and make achievements, knowing that I had a tiny role in that journey. From the first day I started exploring the startup world, I immediately got hooked to the startup-specific strategy making I had never come across in the corporate world. I contributed many times along the years in establishing product-market fit, building traction with an MVP, creating growth strategies and scaling. My main focus has been tech or tech enabled startups, but I’ve also worked with non tech ventures many times. I worked with a great diversity of industries, including e-commerce, fashion, education, AgriTech, FinTech, health, ride hailing, logistics, supply chain, music, content, VCs, AI and many more. I’ve also built a few startups myself.
My biggest motivation is that I believe in the power of startups and how they contribute to economies. I also believe that Africa has some of the smartest and most resilient entrepreneurs in the world who need some support to achieve success. For those two reasons I’m determined to do everything I can to contribute to the sustainability and flourishing of both Egyptian and African economies.
Besides that, I am also continuously considering investment opportunities either through financial or advisory contribution. Being involved with a great number of startups increases my chances.
