About

Meg Edwin believes stories carry immense power to engage, inform, embolden and inspire action. She is passionate about telling stories with impact – and helping others do the same. Meg is an award-winning strategic communications expert and media advisor with 15 years of experience assisting organisations to tell their story for more significant impact. She is always looking for opportunities to enable others to rise above the clutter, be heard and make their mark in more prominent and meaningful ways. Passionate about youth development, Meg is an author of the USAID/Feed the Future Impact Stories Book, profiling over 29 stories of youth empowerment across three regions in Tanzania and their lessons learned. She is looking to empower youth on how to craft their brand story to leverage on their strengths.

Mentorship motivation

  • I am looking for new investments
  • I like to learn about industries and new businesses
  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up
  • I want to make new connections for myself and/or the organization I represent
  • I want to scout for new opportunities in engaging as an advisor or for a board seat

The start-up environment can be tough, which is why mentorship is crucial for entrepreneurs navigating their way through the ecosystem. As a former entrepreneur, I understand the complexities involved. I am driven to mentor young people whenever possible, as sustaining a start-up is just as important as starting one.
