About

Hello, I am passionate about the scale of postive impact that start-ups can have on development across Africa and I support change-makers through business mentorship. My background is in corporate finance, investment analysis and sustainability. I am passionate about mentoring Africa’s startups on driving financial growth while maximizing impact to achieve their full potential and increase the pipeline of investable sustainable businesses. My experience in strategic planning and research has provided me with a wealth of experience to guide new businesses through complex market dynamics. I have certification in financing agribusiness, renewable energy, nature-based infrastructure and managing climate risk. I have also worked across sectors that include real estate, infrastructure, fintech, energy, health and manufacturing. I am keen to mentor startups on fostering resilient, social and environmentally responsible businesses. As a mentor, I am dedicated to doing my part in contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the African Union’s Agenda 2063 for “the Africa we want”.

Mentorship motivation

  • I like to learn about industries and new businesses
  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up
  • I want to make new connections for myself and/or the organization I represent
  • I want to scout for new opportunities in engaging as an advisor or for a board seat

Each member of the startup ecosystem plays a role in Africa’s economic growth and that role is enhanced when we share our knowledge with each other and work together in problem solving. I would like to mentor and share what I have learnt on the journey and learn how startups in other part of Africa are addressing the challenges that they face. Where applicable, I would also like to connect mentees to local startups I work with for potential synergies and to enhance trade and collaboration between African startups.
