About

I am passionate about mentoring because I have seen how timely guidance, practical insights, and the right networks can significantly influence the success of entrepreneurs and growing businesses. Throughout my 18+ years of working with SMEs, startups, producer organizations, private sector companies, and development programs across Asia and Africa, I have witnessed both the opportunities and challenges faced by enterprises in emerging markets. Mentoring provides an opportunity to share these experiences and help founders make informed decisions, avoid common pitfalls, and build sustainable businesses.

My mentoring approach is collaborative and practical. Rather than providing ready made solutions, I aim to challenge assumptions, encourage strategic thinking, and support entrepreneurs in identifying actionable pathways for growth. I believe successful businesses are built not only on innovative ideas but also on strong business models, market orientation, effective partnerships, and sound execution.

My areas of interest and focus include agribusiness, food systems, AgTech, climate smart agriculture, sustainability, and impact driven enterprises. I have particular expertise in value chain development, market systems, business strategy, market access, investment readiness, business planning, financial analysis, partnership development, and public-private partnerships. I am especially interested in supporting startups and SMEs that create economic opportunities, improve livelihoods, and contribute to more resilient and sustainable food systems.

Mentorship motivation

  • I am looking for new investments
  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up
  • I want to make new connections for myself and/or the organization I represent

I mentor because I believe entrepreneurship has the power to create jobs, improve livelihoods, and drive sustainable development. Throughout my career, I have benefited from working with experienced professionals and diverse stakeholders, and I see mentoring as an opportunity to give back by sharing my knowledge and experience with the next generation of entrepreneurs.
I enjoy helping founders navigate challenges, refine their strategies, strengthen their business models, and unlock growth opportunities. What motivates me most is seeing entrepreneurs transform innovative ideas into successful and impactful businesses. I believe effective mentorship is not about providing all the answers, but about asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, and empowering entrepreneurs to make informed decisions and build resilient, sustainable enterprises.

I am particularly passionate about supporting businesses that create positive economic, social, and environmental impact, especially in agriculture, food systems, climate smart solutions, and inclusive business models. I also value being part of entrepreneurial ecosystems that foster innovation and collaboration, and I welcome opportunities to connect promising ventures with partners, markets, and, where there is strategic alignment, explore potential investment opportunities.
