About

Hello, my name is Ogugua (OG) David Chioke, and over the past decade I have led strategy, market expansion, and execution for organizations operating at the intersection of technology, energy, infrastructure, and digital transformation. My career has taken me across Africa, the Middle East, North America and Europe, where I have helped scale ventures, launch new markets, and guide executive teams through complex growth and restructuring challenges. I am passionate about translating high-level strategy into practical systems that deliver measurable outcomes and lasting impact.

I am interested in mentoring founders, executives, and young professionals who are building the next generation of businesses shaping emerging markets. Having advised governments, corporates, and early-stage ventures alike, I have seen that most breakthrough moments happen when leaders gain clarity of focus, structure, and discipline; especially in the early stages of growth. I want to help founders connect vision to execution, define scalable models, and build investor-ready organizations grounded in sound strategy, leadership, and governance.

My key areas of interest include energy transition, digital infrastructure, AI and data-driven ventures, fintech, and cross-border platforms. I am particularly drawn to founders building solutions that bridge markets, reduce friction, and unlock inclusion; whether in connectivity, mobility, finance, or clean energy. Beyond technical or commercial advice, my mentoring philosophy is centered on strategic clarity, execution discipline, and leadership maturity; helping founders think bigger while staying grounded in operational reality. Ultimately, I see mentoring as a way to multiply impact: to share hard-won lessons, accelerate the next generation of builders, and shape sustainable, high-performing enterprises across Africa and beyond.

Mentorship motivation

  • I am looking for new investments
  • I like to learn about industries and new businesses
  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up
  • I want to make new connections for myself and/or the organization I represent
  • I want to scout for new opportunities in engaging as an advisor or for a board seat

My motivation for mentoring comes from a genuine desire to give back to the startup ecosystem and support the next generation of entrepreneurs building the future of emerging markets. Having worked across strategy, investment, and execution in high-growth industries, I understand the value of guidance, networks, and structured thinking at the earliest stages of growth. Mentoring allows me to share that experience while also learning from new founders, exploring innovative business models, and deepening my understanding of evolving industries. It’s also an avenue to identify new investment and advisory opportunities, build meaningful relationships with visionary leaders, and expand the network of strategic partnerships for both myself and the organizations I represent.
