I’m Placide Bakala, an expert in growth, innovation and product mastery, with over 8 years’ experience in the digital world. As Head of Programme, I orchestrated major successes, led dynamic teams and forged strategic partnerships at the very heart of progress.
As Senior Product Manager, I harmonized teams of developers, visionary product managers and design virtuosos, with a direct impact on products and businesses through agile market delivery processes. My explorations don’t stop there. I’ve also dived into untapped markets, automated data analysis and improved overall quality to make every initiative shine.

My aim is to actively seek out new opportunities to get involved as a mentor. My aspiration is to put forward my expertise and the lessons I’ve learned over the years, both in English-speaking and French-speaking countries. I’m convinced that this rich mix of experiences would enable me to bring unique perspectives, strategic guidance and invaluable mentoring to start-ups and new businesses.

In my quest to make new connections, I plan to build a bridge between the worlds I’ve explored. Having spent a great deal of time developing relationships and expanding my networks in English-speaking regions, I’m keen to facilitate meaningful collaborations between individuals, organizations and communities. This approach is in line with my belief in the power of diverse networks to foster innovation and stimulate the growth of French-speaking startups.

Moreover, the desire to contribute and give back fuels my intention to be an active player in the startup ecosystem.
