Sanj Sharma

Hello, I’m Sanjay Sharma, and with 16 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of working across a variety of industries, including social impact, innovation consulting, and product at a startup. Early in my career, I worked on business models focused on affordable housing and clean water in India, designing solutions that were financially sustainable, even for low-income communities. As an innovation consultant, I helped clients identify opportunities, creatively generate ideas, and experiment to de-risk innovation, while also fostering a culture of experimentation within their organizations.

Most recently, I was the first employee at a travel tech startup (point.me), where I served as Head of Product and led the build and launch of our core product, along with several adjacent offerings. My work has always been rooted in a desire to bring tangible, impactful change, and I’m now looking to bring that experience to early-stage startups in Africa.

Having traveled to 46 countries across Africa, I’ve developed a foundational understanding of the diverse markets and challenges local entrepreneurs face. I’m particularly excited about helping businesses with product and business innovation, especially those in their early stages, who want to experiment and better understand their customers in order to move toward product-market fit.

I’m passionate about supporting African entrepreneurs because I truly believe that entrepreneurship can transform economies and societies. With my background in social impact and innovation, I’m eager to offer a unique perspective and collaborate with founders who are working to shape the future.
