I am a corporate legal practitioner with almost a decade of experience in law, business, finance, tax and compliance. I am also a legal entrepreneur, heading the Team of lawyers at TJWricketts @ Law, a business and investment law firm in Ghana. With the implementation of the single market under the African Continental Free Zone Area (AfCFTA), businesses in Ghana and Africa as a whole need to restructure, redesign and implement mechanisms that will enable them to properly take advantage of the open market in a competitive and legally compliant manner. My interest is to share information on laws and regulatory requirements for both local and foreign businesses and to assist participants with contract drafting terms and risk mitigation factors.

Although law is a crucial part of business, most entrepreneurs in Ghana engage in businesses without lawyers only to incur unnecessary risks and liabilities raising from non-compliance and lack of information. This affects business expansion, access to finance or international partnership agreements. It is my hope to assist entrepreneurs with basic legal information for smooth operations
