I am interested in mentoring because I understand the power of guided exposure in shaping both confidence and competence. Having navigated a non-linear academic and professional path, I have seen firsthand how access to the right perspective at the right time can accelerate growth and prevent costly missteps. Mentoring, to me, is a practical way to transfer not just knowledge, but judgment the kind that is often built through experience rather than taught in classrooms.
My interests and focus areas lie at the intersection of economic development, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. I am particularly invested in supporting young professionals and founders in emerging markets, especially across Africa, to build globally competitive ventures. This includes helping them think through business models, market entry strategies, and investment readiness, while also aligning with evolving global standards such as ESG and sustainable development frameworks.
I am also interested in guiding mentees who are transitioning across fields or geographies, as I appreciate the challenges of adapting to new academic environments and professional expectations. My approach to mentoring is structured but honest focused on clarity, accountability, and long-term positioning rather than quick wins. Ultimately, I see mentoring as a way to contribute to building capable individuals who can, in turn, create meaningful economic and social impact.
I want to give back to the startup ecosystem because I recognize how much of entrepreneurial success depends not just on ideas, but on access access to knowledge, networks, and honest guidance. Many early-stage founders have the drive and vision, but lack the structured support needed to navigate critical decisions around market fit, funding, and growth. Contributing to the ecosystem is my way of helping close that gap.
Having observed and engaged with different innovation ecosystems, I see clear disparities in how emerging entrepreneurs particularly in developing markets are supported. Too often, promising ventures stall not because they lack potential, but because they lack direction or are building without the right foundations. I want to play a role in changing that by offering practical insights, strategic thinking, and grounded feedback that helps founders avoid common pitfalls and focus on building sustainable, scalable solutions.
My interest is especially in supporting entrepreneurs who are tackling real economic and social challenges. I believe startups should not only be innovative, but also resilient and globally competitive. By giving back through mentorship and ecosystem support, I am contributing to a cycle where today’s founders are better equipped to succeed and eventually support others in return.
