About

A professional accountant and seasoned financial and operations expert, I bring over 20 years of experience in the development sector, with a proven track record in strategic leadership and operational excellence. Throughout my career, I have led finance and operations teams in various international and national NGOs, skillfully managing implementing partners, conducting capacity assessments, and overseeing project and budget development with precision. My expertise extends to financial monitoring, reporting, and procurement management, where I am known for establishing robust financial systems and policies that ensure compliance and efficiency.
I am proud to have been a beneficiary of the inaugural cohort of the CEO Apprenticeship Program (CAP) with the Tanzania CEO Roundtable and Strathmore University of Nairobi. My leadership experience is further demonstrated through my service on multiple boards, both within and outside Tanzania. Currently, I sit on three boards in Tanzania, where I also serve as Chairperson of one. As a founding member of Tanzania Women Certified Accountants, I have dedicated two terms to serving on its board, championing the advancement of women in the accounting profession

Mentorship motivation

  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up
  • I want to make new connections for myself and/or the organization I represent
  • I want to scout for new opportunities in engaging as an advisor or for a board seat

I strongly believe in supporting one another for collective success. It’s not about “I win,” but “we win.” True satisfaction comes from winning together. I don’t consider myself a successful woman yet, but I know that where I am today is because someone extended a hand, offered support, and guided me. In return, I believe in paying it forward and doing the same for others.
