Bernard Carr

My name is Bernard. I’m British but have spent the majority of my career working in Eastern and Southern Africa. I’ve worked in senior positions and as a consultant with a number of start-ups primarily in the agri value chain with a particular interest in developing smallholder farmer’s skills and increasing their access to markets and finance.

Aside from having a good network in various Eastern and Southern African countries as well as London, I can support in the areas of product, operations, strategy, and internal structures. I’ve been through the start-up process and have seen the mistakes that are commonly made and know how to avoid/address them.

I’ve built many business plans, pitch decks, and MVPs. I can help with this and get your company investor ready.

Having lived and worked in Africa for the majority of my adult life, I know the potential for start-ups to disrupt local markets for positive impact.

I’m really excited to see the start-up ecosystem grow and I am enjoy being a part of that.
