I hold degrees in Arts and Social Psychology from the Central University of Venezuela, with a Master’s in Business Administration from UQAM (L’Université du Québec à Montréal).
Most of my professional career has been in the world of market research, marketing, and consulting. I began my career in the corporate world in 1987, where I held managerial positions after 8 years.
Subsequently, I ventured into developing my own businesses, always in the field of market research, as a partner at Emevenca, a medium-to-large-sized company that began with offices in Venezuela and now provides services in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Trinidad. I has over 30 years of experience in the market.
In 2006, I started a micro-business designing jewelry, Soonets Jewelry, which I worked on independently alongside my other ventures until 2019.
In 2019, I started a blog in Spanish for micro-entrepreneurs: Eslabones de Negocio (eslabonesdenegocio.com). Through this blog, I regularly shares topics related to values, attitudes, and habits that contribute to an entrepreneur’s success, as well as tools for achieving more efficient performance.
I have had experience within three different business environments: corporate as an employee, the private sector as a partner in a medium-to-large-sized company, and the private sector as a micro-entrepreneur in projects where I worked primarily alone. This has given me a broad perspective on the different aspects of the business world at each of these levels.
I am certified to administer and analyze the EMP (Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile), a tool from Eckerd College (Florida, USA), for assessing individuals’ profiles across personality and performance dimensions related to entrepreneurship to help understand strengths and development opportunities for entrepreneurs.
I’m publishing my first book “The Wheel of the 8 Fears of the Entrepreneur”, in which I propose a conceptual model to understand and address the fears that entrepreneurs face.
I have been entrepreneur for many years, and I know how difficult it can be to confront alone many of the decisions that the entrepreneurial journey requires. When I decided to start my blog for entrepreneurs, my objective was to be able to pass on my expertise and what I have learnt from my entrepreneurial journey to new entrepreneurs, in order to help them along the way. Being a consultant and mentoring entrepreneurs allows me to fulfill this objective. I believe that the best idea can fail if we face it with the wrong attitude of without a proper plan and vision. I’m here to help entrepreneurs develop the adequate mindset, attitudes, values and habits that will lead them to succeed.
