I am interested in mentoring because I strongly believe that entrepreneurship is one of the most powerful drivers of economic growth, job creation, innovation, and social transformation in Africa. Throughout my professional career, I have witnessed how access to the right guidance, knowledge, and support can significantly increase the chances of success for entrepreneurs and small business owners. At the same time, I have seen many promising businesses struggle or fail due to a lack of mentorship, strategic planning, technical expertise, or access to experienced professionals who can help them navigate challenges and make informed decisions.
As an Electrical Engineer, Renewable Energy Specialist, Entrepreneur, Business Trainer, and Managing Director of African Network Energy, I have accumulated extensive experience in the fields of electrical engineering, solar energy, project management, business development, technical training, and organizational leadership. Over the years, I have worked with businesses, institutions, communities, and development partners on projects aimed at improving energy access, strengthening technical capacities, and supporting economic development. These experiences have given me a practical understanding of the challenges entrepreneurs face when launching, managing, and scaling their businesses, particularly in emerging markets and underserved regions.
One of the main reasons I am passionate about mentoring is that I enjoy helping people unlock their potential and transform ideas into sustainable and impactful businesses. I believe that every entrepreneur has unique strengths and opportunities, but many require guidance, encouragement, and practical advice to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Through mentoring, I hope to share not only my technical knowledge and business expertise but also the lessons I have learned from my own entrepreneurial journey, including the successes, challenges, and critical decisions that have shaped
I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and support the next generation of entrepreneurs by sharing the knowledge, experience, and lessons I have gained throughout my professional and entrepreneurial journey. Over the years, I have benefited from learning opportunities, professional networks, and practical experiences that have helped me grow as an engineer, entrepreneur, business leader, and trainer. I believe it is important to contribute to the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem by helping founders avoid common mistakes, strengthen their business strategies, and build sustainable ventures that create positive economic and social impact.
I am also interested in mentoring because it provides an opportunity to connect with innovative entrepreneurs, industry experts, investors, and ecosystem builders from different countries and sectors. These connections can foster knowledge exchange, collaboration, and mutual learning. As the Managing Director of African Network Energy, I am continuously seeking opportunities to build strategic partnerships, expand professional networks, and explore innovative solutions that can support entrepreneurship, renewable energy development, and sustainable growth across Africa.
For me, mentoring is not only about giving advice; it is about building meaningful relationships, contributing to the success of others, and participating in a community that promotes innovation, leadership, and economic development. I believe that both mentors and entrepreneurs benefit from this exchange, creating value for individuals, organizations, and the broader startup ecosystem.
