About

Edith Njage’s passion for mentoring African youth and female entrepreneurs stems from her deep commitment to driving meaningful change across the continent. As a distinguished serial and social entrepreneur, Edith has always believed in the transformative power of entrepreneurship, STEM education, and sustainable practices in unlocking the potential of Africa’s youth. Her journey as the co-founder of Arielle Roaring for Africa Ltd (ARFA) and her strategic leadership roles—such as being a newly appointed Board Member for the AIESEC International Supervisory Group in Canada and the Chair of Beyond Africa—have been pivotal in shaping her vision of empowering under-represented groups.

Edith’s dedication to mentoring is rooted in her personal experience of navigating the challenges of the business world as a young, Black, female entrepreneur. Having founded ARFA to support entrepreneurs on their business journey, Edith understands firsthand the barriers that African entrepreneurs face—especially young women. This realization drives her commitment to offering guidance, sharing her wealth of knowledge, and providing access to resources that can help others overcome similar obstacles.

Her educational background, including a Master of International Business with a major in Disruptive Innovation and a Master of Science in Finance from HULT International Business School, coupled with her global experience across 77 countries, equips her with the expertise needed to mentor and inspire the next generation of African leaders. Edith’s work with Africa’s Brain Hub and the Hasa Growth Network reflects her focus on creating opportunities in STEM, financial inclusion, and sustainable business practices, ensuring that her mentees are not only equipped with the skills to succeed but also with the mindset to innovate and lead in a rapidly changing world.

Mentorship motivation

  • I like to learn about industries and new businesses
  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up
  • I want to make new connections for myself and/or the organization I represent

As someone who has benefited from mentorship and guidance in my own journey, I understand the profound impact it can have on emerging business leaders. By sharing my experiences and insights, I aim to help these founders navigate the challenges they face and unlock their full potential.

Moreover, I have a passion for learning about different industries and new businesses. Mentoring provides a unique opportunity for me to gain fresh perspectives, understand emerging trends, and stay connected with innovative ideas. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship, as I not only impart knowledge but also gain valuable insights that can inform my work and the organization I represent.

This mentorship initiative is truly a win-win situation. For the mentees, it offers guidance, support, and access to a network that can propel their businesses forward. For me, it’s an opportunity to make meaningful connections, learn, and contribute to the broader goal of fostering economic growth and sustainability in Africa.
