About

I am an enterprise development expert with a proven track record of supporting startups and MSMEs. I previously worked with SNV Ghana as the Senior Incubation and Acceleration Advisor on the GrEEn project (an EU funded project implemented in the Ashanti and Western regions of Ghana).
My role involved designing and managing incubation and acceleration programmes for green MSMEs, designing programmes to strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem, improve access to finance and markets for the youth and women who have started businesses in the Agriculture, Renewable Energy and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sectors.
Prior to this role, I worked with Mirepa Capital where I supported MSMEs in the Ghana Climate Innovation Center acceleration programme. I also worked with ServLed Africa as a senior marketing analyst and program manager supporting MSMEs to build strong viable businesses.
I have also served as a mentor to startups in the Ashesi Venture Incubation programme as well as the Africa AI Accelerator Programme.
I am currently pursuing a PhD programme with a research focus on MSMEs in Ghana and the transition to circular economy practices.

Mentorship motivation

  • I like to learn about industries and new businesses
  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up
  • I want to make new connections for myself and/or the organization I represent
  • I want to scout for new opportunities in engaging as an advisor or for a board seat

I believe in the power of knowledge sharing and its ability to transform businesses. Drawing from about 11 years of experience in supporting entrepreneurs and startups, I have learned that gaps in knowledge and business skills of the entrepreneur is a key reason why new businesses fail. It’s always exciting to see businesses begin to experience growth when supported and that is what motivates me to mentor young entrepreneurs and startups.
Mentoring is also a learning experience for me. I am able to learn more about businesses, how culture shapes the way the businesses are run, as well as industry specific insights that other businesses can learn from.
