About

Hello, my name is Hela. I am a renewable energy engineer and founder, and I have been involved in ventures and programs like Startupbootcamp, START Global Incubator, and Open Startup in collaboration with Columbia Engineering.
I want to support startups at the early stage, especially at pre-idea and idea phase. As a founder, I have seen that this is where one clear question, one honest feedback session, or one structured framework can completely shift a founder’s direction.
I help with idea refinement, defining a clear problem statement, validating assumptions, structuring the business model, and preparing strong pitch decks. I have crafted more than 50 pitch decks, won national pitching competitions, and helped founders communicate their solutions in a simple and compelling way.
I am particularly interested in green tech and deep tech startups, especially in climate tech, renewable energy, and AI-driven solutions.

Mentorship motivation

  • I like to learn about industries and new businesses
  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up

I mentor because I genuinely believe early guidance can change a founder’s trajectory. I’ve been there myself, and I have seen talented and driven entrepreneurs struggle simply because they lacked structure and clarity at the beginning. Supporting them at that stage allows me to give back to the ecosystem that shaped me.
Also, mentorship keeps me close to emerging industries, especially in climate tech and deep tech. We learn together with ambitious founders building innovative solutions, and that continuous exchange helps us grow as founders and as an ecosystem. I believe that mentorship is about impact, learning, and strengthening the ecosystem by helping ambitious founders build strong foundations from day one.
