Hello, my name is Jimmy Ouni, and I have dedicated my career to building solutions at the intersection of technology, agriculture, and innovation. Through my work with Truism Holdings Limited and Tru Harvest Organics (THO), I have focused on transforming food systems by strengthening value chains for pulses, oil seeds, and climate-resilient crops such as oyster nuts. My mission has been to empower smallholder farmers through digital platforms, sustainable farming practices, and regenerative agriculture models that not only improve livelihoods but also enhance food security and climate resilience across Africa.
I am interested in mentoring because I believe deeply in the power of shared knowledge and experience. Having navigated the complex journey of building startups and piloting innovations in challenging environments, I understand the hurdles that early-stage founders face—whether in defining their strategy, streamlining operations, accessing markets, or building investor-ready structures. Mentors play a critical role at this stage, offering guidance that can help founders avoid common pitfalls, make informed decisions, and unlock growth opportunities much faster than they would on their own.
My focus areas include agritech, regenerative agriculture, digital platforms for supply chain optimization, sustainability, and climate-smart solutions. I am also passionate about the intersection of technology and finance, and how digital records, smart contracts, and AI-driven systems can create inclusive ecosystems for farmers, processors, and entrepreneurs in emerging markets.
I want to support founders in shaping scalable, impactful business models that go beyond profit and address urgent challenges such as food insecurity, soil degradation, and climate change. By mentoring, I hope to contribute to a new generation of African innovators who can build resilient, globally competitive businesses while transforming their communities.
I mentor because I believe in giving back to the startup ecosystem and supporting entrepreneurs who are building solutions for Africa’s most pressing challenges. Having gone through the journey of starting and scaling ventures myself, I know how valuable guidance, networks, and shared experience can be at critical stages of growth.
Mentorship also enables me to learn from new industries and innovative business models, while staying close to emerging trends in agritech, sustainability, and digital platforms. I see it as a two-way exchange where both mentor and mentee grow.
At the same time, I am open to exploring opportunities for deeper engagement, whether through investment, advisory roles, or board positions with startups that align with my focus on agriculture, climate resilience, and inclusive technology, I mentor because I want to help shape scalable, impactful businesses that can transform communities, strengthen food systems, and contribute to building a more sustainable future for Africa.
