About

I am interested in mentoring because I have seen firsthand how the right guidance, at the right time, can unlock opportunities and accelerate growth for young innovators. Over the past decade, I have worked at the intersection of technology, entrepreneurship, and social impact—training over 5,000 young people in digital skills and supporting initiatives that have facilitated job placements and startup development. Mentorship, for me, is a way to multiply this impact by helping founders avoid common pitfalls and make more informed decisions as they build.

My focus areas include digital health, AI and emerging technologies, and youth-driven innovation in Africa. Through my work on platforms like Stay Eyeconic and AI Reports Africa, I am particularly interested in solutions that improve access to healthcare, expand digital inclusion, and leverage technology for scalable social impact. I also bring experience in product development, program management, and ecosystem building, which allows me to support founders in refining their business models, validating market fit, and developing sustainable growth strategies.

I am especially passionate about working with early-stage startups and founders who are building practical, locally relevant solutions, and I am committed to contributing to a more inclusive and innovation-driven African startup ecosystem.

Mentorship motivation

  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up
  • I want to make new connections for myself and/or the organization I represent

I mentor because I believe in giving back to the startup ecosystem that has shaped my own journey. Over the years, I have benefited from access to knowledge, networks, and opportunities, and I see mentorship as a practical way to extend those same advantages to emerging entrepreneurs who are building the next generation of solutions across Africa.

I am also motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the growth of founders at critical stages of their journey—helping them think through challenges, avoid common mistakes, and make more strategic decisions. Beyond impact, mentoring allows me to stay connected to innovation on the ground, learn from diverse perspectives, and build meaningful relationships within the ecosystem.

Additionally, I see mentorship as a pathway to forming valuable connections for both myself and the organization I represent. Engaging with founders, investors, and ecosystem leaders creates opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and long-term partnerships that can drive broader impact.
