About

I am interested in mentoring because I strongly believe that access to the right guidance, networks, and opportunities can significantly accelerate the growth trajectory of founders and innovators. Through my work at Starfield Advisory, I have seen firsthand how strategic support—particularly in investment structuring, fundraising, and ecosystem navigation, can unlock real value for early-stage and growth-stage ventures.

Mentoring provides an opportunity to give back to the ecosystem while also contributing to the development of resilient, scalable businesses across Africa. I am particularly passionate about supporting founders in refining their business models, preparing for investment, and positioning themselves for global opportunities such as accelerators, fellowships, and strategic partnerships.

My focus areas include fundraising strategy, investment readiness, program design, and ecosystem development, with a strong interest in the creative and innovation sectors. I am also keen on supporting underserved founders by helping them bridge gaps in access to capital, knowledge, and networks.

Ultimately, I see mentoring as a collaborative process, one where I can share practical insights while also learning from the unique perspectives and experiences of founders across the continent.

Mentorship motivation

  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up
  • I want to scout for new opportunities in engaging as an advisor or for a board seat

My motivation for mentorship is rooted in a deep commitment to strengthening Africa’s startup and innovation ecosystem. Having worked closely with founders and ventures at different stages, i recognize that access, to the right guidance, networks, can be the defining factor between stagnation and scale.

For me, giving back is not just about support at an individual level, but about contributing to the long-term sustainability and global competitiveness of African businesses. By mentoring founders, I am actively helping to build a pipeline of resilient, investment-ready companies that can create jobs, drive innovation, and position the continent more prominently on the global stage.

My interest in engaging as an advisor or serving on boards is a natural extension of this purpose. It allows me to move from short-term guidance to deeper, more sustained impact at a higher level. Through these roles, i am able to influence not just individual businesses, but the standards, structures, and thinking that shape the broader ecosystem.

Ultimately, i see mentorship, advisory, and board engagement as interconnected pathways to drive change, bridging gaps in access, strengthening founder capacity, and unlocking opportunities that enable African ventures to thrive locally and scale globally.
