Hi, I’m Ommo Clark, a tech entrepreneur with many years of experience in leveraging digital technologies to drive business growth and promote digital inclusion. I am passionate about mentoring because I believe in the transformative power of knowledge and good guidance. My interest in mentoring stem from a desire to give back to the community and support the next generation of technology and business leaders, particularly those from underrepresented groups. I recognize the importance of mentorship in providing career guidance, fostering personal and professional growth, and helping individuals navigate the challenges of the tech industry. I am committed to empowering entrepreneurs and startups with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the digital age, with a particular focus on AI, health informatics, digital skills development, and women in tech.
1. Digital Entrepreneurship: I am keen on helping aspiring entrepreneurs harness the power of digital technologies to build and grow their businesses. I leverage my hands on experience in founding and iBez Consulting Ltd., and in creating tech products to provide practical insights and strategies for success in the digital landscape.
2. Health Informatics: With my ongoing research in reducing misinformation in online health information, I focus on the intersection of data science, NLP/ML, Semantic Web, and health informatics. I aim to mentor individuals interested in using technology to improve health outcomes and empower people with reliable health information.
3. Digital Skills Development: I am dedicated to bridging the digital divide in emerging communities. I have a strong track record of organizing capacity-building workshops and training programs in collaboration with organizations like the Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and She Leads Africa. My focus is on equipping individuals with the necessary digital skills to thrive in the modern economy.
4. Women in Tech: As a mentor at various organizations such as the Women Technology Entrepreneurial Center (WTEC) and the She Leads Africa, I am committed to supporting women in technology. I aim to inspire and guide future generations of female tech leaders, promoting inclusivity and diversity in the tech industry.
5. AI and Machine Learning: I conduct technical research and applies AI in novel ways to solve problems. I mentor individuals interested in exploring AI and Deep Fakes, providing guidance on technical research, application development, and ethical considerations in AI.
