About

I am deeply interested in supporting others on their personal and business journeys. I believe in the power of mentorship to positively impact someone’s life and contribute to their growth and development.

Having worked with startups for over 5 years, my interests and focus areas as a mentor revolve around helping young businesses in areas such as legal, marketing, venture capital, and building traction. I am passionate about guiding entrepreneurs in navigating their careers the journey of building an impactful business, setting and achieving realistic goals, and developing essential skills that can lead to success in their businesses. I am also dedicated to helping mentees build their self-confidence, resilience, and leadership abilities.

Furthermore, I am committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse mentoring relationship, where startup mentees from all backgrounds feel welcomed, respected, and supported. I believe in empowering mentees to discover and leverage their unique strengths and talents, and to overcome challenges and obstacles they may encounter while building their businesses.

As a mentor, my approach is empathetic, compassionate, and non-judgmental. I strive to create a safe space where mentees can share their thoughts, concerns, business challenges, and aspirations openly, and where I can provide constructive feedback and guidance to help them make informed decisions.

Overall, I am enthusiastic about mentoring because I believe it is a meaningful way to give back to the community, share my knowledge and experiences, and make a positive impact on the lives of others while also learning about new trends in the ecosystem.

Mentorship motivation

  • I like to learn about industries and new businesses
  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up
  • I want to make new connections for myself and/or the organization I represent
  • I want to scout for new opportunities in engaging as an advisor or for a board seat

I am interested in supporting and helping more young businesses succeed in their business journey. Having worked with a couple of VC firms, startups and currently working with angel investors, I believe that with the right support and mentorship, African startups would get a better chance and succeeding and drawing a lot of people out of poverty.

I am also interested in scouting for promising startups with good potentials for investments.
