Shadrach Dameteye

My professional background encompasses over a decade of experience as a full-stack solutions architect in the field of software development, AI, and mobile app development. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated expertise in various areas including full-stack web development, IoT, and the development of biometric systems. I am also skilled in STEM education and have extensive experience in providing IT training.

During my tenure as a Technology Mentor at MEST Africa and The UNICEF Startup LAB, I had the privilege of guiding and mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs, providing them with the necessary support and knowledge to thrive in the technology industry. This role not only honed my mentoring and leadership skills but also deepened my passion for empowering others through technology.

In addition to mentoring, I have contributed to several impactful projects. Notably, I played a key role in developing a biometric system for The Gambian Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation (SSHFC) and was part of a team responsible for developing duty-free management software for the Ghana Revenue Authority. As the founder of Shopintins Marketplace, I conceptualized and executed a platform aimed at facilitating e-commerce activities for businesses.

Currently, I serve as the Managing Director of Masters Hive Center for Innovation, where I oversee operations and strategic initiatives aimed at fostering innovation and technological advancement.

First and foremost, witnessing the growth and success of fellow entrepreneurs is incredibly fulfilling for me. I am driven by the belief that by sharing my knowledge, insights, and experiences, I can play a pivotal role in empowering others to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Seeing the transformative impact of mentorship on individuals’ lives reinforces my commitment to giving back to the entrepreneurial community.

Furthermore, my motivation to mentor is deeply rooted in my own experiences as an entrepreneur. Throughout my journey, I often wished for the guidance and support of a mentor who could provide valuable advice, offer perspective, and help navigate the complexities of the tech startup landscape. Recognizing the profound impact that mentorship could have had on my own trajectory fuels my determination to be that guiding light for aspiring entrepreneurs today.
