My professional experience spans financial analysis, project management, and strategic development, with a strong focus on impact-driven ventures. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics with a focus on Finance and a Master’s degree in Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Currently, I serve as Chief of Staff at a climate tech company in Nairobi, Kenya, where I manage investor and board relations, develop go-to-market strategies, and lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement and company culture.
My career has been deeply rooted in the African startup ecosystem, where I have built a robust network of funders, accelerators, community builders, and founders. I have a proven track record of managing significant budgets, spearheading fundraising initiatives, and securing financial resources for maximum impact. My areas of expertise include venture capital, investor relations, startup growth strategies, and community building, with a particular focus on promoting sustainable and inclusive business practices.
While my technical expertise lies in climate and agricultural technology, I am fully equipped to apply my skills across industries in Africa, particularly with ventures addressing basic needs to create lasting value for many—both people and the planet. My public speaking engagements at forums such as COP28 have also allowed me to advocate for sustainable agri-food systems and establish strong relationships with key industry stakeholders.
I am deeply passionate about empowering female founders and contributing to the sustainable development of the African startup ecosystem. Over the past three years, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within this market. This program offers an exceptional opportunity to leverage my expertise in venture capital, investor relations, and community building to guide female founders through the complexities of entrepreneurship.
My commitment to diversity and inclusion, coupled with my professional background, aligns perfectly with the goals of this mentorship program. I am eager to support the success of female entrepreneurs and to contribute to meaningful, long-lasting impact within the ecosystem. This opportunity is not just about giving back to the startup community but also about fostering the growth of ventures that create sustainable, positive change for people and the planet.
As an active member of the Dream VC community, I have access to a vast network of over 250 investment professionals and members of the African startup ecosystem. This network is a powerful resource that I can leverage to support the founders in this program, connecting them with potential investors, mentors, and strategic partners. Additionally, my involvement in the Women in Food and Agriculture network further strengthens my ability to provide valuable resources, mentorship, and partnerships for female founders working in the agricultural sector.
