Tolulope Obianwu

Not every woman in STEM studied a STEM-related course or have a STEM-related degree. Tolulope Obianwu, who studied International Relations but like numerous Nigerians, got a job in a field she didn’t know much about. On the job, Tolu discovered her untapped talents in data analytics and operational efficiency which informed her love for strategy and has since climbed the ladder to become the Head, Operations and Technology Strategy Execution at one of the leading Fintech companies in Africa; and now manages operations and strategy for holding companies.

Her journey of self-discovery did not end there. Putting her project management skills to work, she later founded PorscheEffect Enterprise, which gave birth to an Event Planning and management Tolulope Obianwu, the visionary force behind an innovative eyewear brand called Eyewear. With a passion for blending style and functionality, Tolulope has carved a niche in the eyewear industry. As the owner, their commitment to quality craftsmanship and trendsetting design is evident in every frame

Tolu is a source of encouragement and inspiration to those looking to make a career switch whether it is into STEM or within STEM. She believes strongly in women empowering themselves by doing the extra – going where they’ve never gone before, doing what they’ve never done before and always having a mind of excellence.
