About

I am a seasoned Health Promotion and Public Health professional with a rich background in quality assurance, project management, and health systems strengthening. My academic journey includes a Doctor of Optometry degree, an MSc in Health Promotion and Public Health, and a Diploma in Ophthalmology. I am currently working towards a PhD in Health System Management.

I have led complex projects, such as the NHIA Medicine and Professional Services Tariff Review, and have a proven track record in developing and implementing quality assurance programs to enhance healthcare delivery. My expertise includes monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, and strategic planning, all aimed at improving service delivery and strengthening health systems.

My commitment to public health is evident through my dedication to health education and community mobilization. As a 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow, I bring extensive training and experience in business and entrepreneurship. I successfully founded and lead The Eye Place Ltd., one of Nigeria’s most thriving eyecare practices.

I am passionate about making a meaningful impact in global health and am particularly driven to support women-led businesses. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the She Wins Africa 2024 program as a mentor, leveraging my skills and experiences to help unlock the potential of female entrepreneurs.

Mentorship motivation

  • I am looking for new investments
  • I like to learn about industries and new businesses
  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up
  • I want to make new connections for myself and/or the organization I represent
  • I want to scout for new opportunities in engaging as an advisor or for a board seat

My motivation for joining the She Wins Africa 2024 program as a mentor comes from a deep commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs. I’ve seen how entrepreneurship can drive positive change, but I’ve also noticed the unique challenges women face in this landscape.

As a 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow, I’ve gained valuable experience in business and entrepreneurship. Founding and leading The Eye Place Ltd., one of Nigeria’s top eyecare practices for over a decade, has given me insights and skills I’m eager to share. I want to help women entrepreneurs overcome obstacles and succeed.

I’m passionate about making a meaningful impact in global health and business. Mentoring aligns with my values and allows me to support women in achieving their entrepreneurial dreams. Additionally, this program offers a chance to promote gender equality and foster a more inclusive business environment in Africa.

I’m driven by the desire to give back, support women-led businesses, and help create a more equitable future.
