About

Hi, my name is Yash Chhabra. I was born and raised in various parts of India until I was 18. Then, I moved to California, where I lived for a decade before relocating to Singapore. My professional journey has been equally diverse and enriching. With a solid background in finance and sustainability, I have worked in various roles that have expanded my understanding of these fields. These experiences have given me a unique perspective on the intersection of finance and sustainability, and I am passionate about using this knowledge to mentor others.

I’m eager to support startups that integrate a strong social mission into their business model, ensuring they not only contribute positively to society but also achieve sustainable growth and profitability. These ventures inspire me because they demonstrate how business can be a force for good, addressing critical social or environmental issues while thriving in competitive markets. My aim as a mentor is to help these startups refine their strategies, enhance their impact measurement frameworks, and navigate challenges to build resilient and impactful enterprises.

My focus areas are: Sustainable & Green Finance, ESG frameworks, Circular Economy, GRI reports, CDP.

Mentorship motivation

  • I am looking for new investments
  • I like to learn about industries and new businesses
  • I want to give back to the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurs coming up
  • I want to make new connections for myself and/or the organization I represent
  • I want to scout for new opportunities in engaging as an advisor or for a board seat

I mentor because I believe in the power of shared knowledge and experience to transform lives and careers. My own journey has been shaped by the guidance of mentors who invested their time and wisdom in me, and I feel compelled to pay that forward.

Mentoring allows me to share insights I’ve gained over the years, potentially helping others avoid pitfalls and accelerate their growth. It’s immensely satisfying to watch mentees develop, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals.

Moreover, mentoring is a two-way street. I find that I often learn as much from my mentees as they do from me. Their fresh perspectives and questions challenge me to stay current and rethink my own assumptions.

I mentor because it contributes to a culture of continuous learning and support within my professional community. It’s a way to make a lasting impact beyond my own immediate work.
